The management team for SA Marketwise Technology Solutions includes the following:
Peter Bowman, Ph.D., CEO
Up until March of 2010 Peter was the owner, manager and chief consultant for SA Marketwise. Peter is currently the COO and chief consultant for SA Marketwise Technology Solutions. Peter has a variety of experience in the high technology arena including speaking, training and consulting on computers and technology. Peter advises management teams in the effective use and implementation of technology. He helps employees develop their knowledge and skills in a low stress and entertaining format. Peter's teaching experience includes teaching computer science at St. Mary's University in San Antonio Texas, Trinity University as a visiting professor and a one year teaching assignment for Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in the Middle East.
Peter has been a manager and/or consultant to a number high-tech firms including General Electric, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Bomar Engineering and Control Data Corporation. He has managed a variety of technical teams. Within this context he has provided system and software architecture and design services, chief and lead architect and system and software design lead, for a variety of systems including bio-medical and health systems -TMIP and MC4, logistics systems - LDSS/FCS, optical systems - Bright Horizon , defect detection systems, test systems and financial sector systems. These architecture and design services include architecture development, feasibility studies, CONOPS, requirements analysis, low level and high level system and software design, and implementation, testing: integration, system, operational and acceptance, UML development, technical leadership roles and high level design facilitation and management.
Peter's systems and software experience include a variety of hardware and software platforms and operating systems: Windows, Linux, UNIX, and VMS, database systems: ORACLE, MYSQL, DBMS etc, and JAVA, C, C+++, Visual BASIC, SQL, etc. Hardware systems include robotics and laser based system, real-time systems, wireless and web based systems and processing systems. Peter did project work was with the Logistics Decision Support Systems (LDSS) program for The Future Combat System (FCS) as the chief system architect for Northrop Grumman. He took a one year hiatus to teach computer science for Carnegie Mellon University. Upon moving back to the US, Peter became the CTO for Mystical Solutions and the Principle Enterprise Architect for US Navy Medicince Systems. After returning to Qatar Peter did consulting work for Williams Formula One Grand Prix/Advanced Engineering and Created the Center of Excellence for Sports Technology for Aspire Zone Foundation.
Peter is a co-author of an introductory text in computer science and enjoys writing articles on a variety of subjects. He was the editor and publisher of The InnerLoop a newsletter on communications technology for company decision makers.
